Meditation for immunity through the Tao Calligraphy Healing Field

Meditation for immunity through the Tao Calligraphy Healing Field

Meditation is beneficial for us all in so many ways. It reduces our anxiety and depression, and science shows us it can help to improve immunity too.

Recently I spoke at the Turning Point 2020 conference, where I focused on the Tao Calligraphy Healing Field. This system of growth, renewal and healing melds together the ancient art of Chinese calligraphy and creates a form of meditation that enriches our lives and helps us heal.

How does meditation for immunity and health work?

Chinese calligraphy itself has been practiced for thousands of years. It is an exquisite form of artistic expression in itself. But it is much more than this. Calligraphy encourages the flow of qi (energy), and Chinese calligraphy specifically is a key mindfulness discipline.

Researchers found in 2017 that practicing calligraphy reduces heart rate, systolic blood pressure and respiratory rate. They also found that anxiety and stress in the subjects (breast cancer patients) were reported to decrease.

The balance between discipline and emotional release found in practicing Chinese calligraphy is one of the reasons it’s so good for our immunity. In 2013, I developed Tao Calligraphy and its associated healing field.

Tao Calligraphy and the healing practice of qi gong flow

Tao Calligraphy is a new and totally unique form of Chinese calligraphy. It combines the artistic flow of a form of one-stroke calligraphy called Yi Bi Zi with mantra chanting. In this way, I created a unique style of meditation that achieves heightened awareness or “mindfulness”.

By combining the focus on Tao Calligraphy with movement and mantra chanting, a deep meditative state can be reached. This state is still fully alert and aware but in a deeply relaxing mindset. Think of it as a combination of qi gong (energy practice) and meditation. The healing effects on both the body and mind are profound.

The science behind meditation and the immune system

Most people today are aware that there are many different forms of meditation. But they all have benefits for the mind and body, which in turn boosts immune systems and helps balance health.

A new study published in Translational Psychiatry recently looked at the scientific molecular mechanism behind meditation and the immune system. This study shows that there appears to be something within meditation itself that can help the immune system and our mood. The study focuses on 94 women with various levels of experience in meditation, half of whom went on a six-day meditation retreat and half on a normal holiday break.

Blood samples were taken from the women so that genetic changes could be analysed before the retreat (or holiday) and after it. Overall, 20,000 genes were analysed, and all showed a shift in gene expression linked to inflammation, healing and stress. They also showed an increase in telomerase activity. This is an enzyme that strengthens chromosomes and affects your health as you age.

Why does Tao Calligraphy help to heal?

Science will continue to monitor the effect of meditation on health and immunity. Different forms of meditation, such as Tao Calligraphy, help us to absorb the frequencies that transform energy blockages and allow for positive life changes.

When practitioners chant within the Tao Calligraphy Healing Field, they produce a sacred healing liquid within their saliva. This boosts immunity and good health and can help with physical health issues and emotional issues. Meditation of all kinds can help pain, illness and sickness, and mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, phobias and anger.

We all have health problems and challenges of different kinds. Whether these are physical, emotional or mental, using the power of our spirit and soul helps us all. The Tao Calligraphy Healing Field harnesses the sacred power of the ancient methods and combines with the Oneness writing of positive messages. This transforms negativity in the body, mind, heart and soul and will have repercussions across all spheres of life.

Guiding practitioners through active, healing and joyful meditations in the Tao Calligraphy Field promises true transformation. Tao Calligraphy writing consists of the Yi Bi Zi form of calligraphy that was passed on to me by my mentor Professor Li Qui Yun, who learned it from the teacher of the royal family of the Qing dynasty, the last imperial dynasty in China. I transmit high frequencies and vibrations to these writings and transform them into conduits of healing energy.

When you join me in meditating on these Tao calligraphies, we collectively invoke the Source, Nature and the Earth. We establish a universal connection, which is enhanced through the qi (energy) flow of Tai Chi movement. This experience is healing and allows participants to connect deeply with their souls.

Find peace of mind, soul and body through meditation

At my Master Sha Tao centres , I’ve created Tao Calligraphy Fields that offer a safe space for people to try:

• Tao Shu Fa Tai Ji Yang Sheng – This is Tao Calligraphy Tai Chi movement that aids rejuvenation, healing and nourishment.
• The inner joy, peace and freedom that comes through tracing Tao Calligraphy.
• A deeper connection with Tao and Heaven that harmonises the soul, mind and body as one.
• Tao blessings that bring positivity designed to enhance all aspects of life.

I brought these messages to the Turning Point conference attendees at the final keynote speech livestreamed to more than 2.5 million people in more than 22 countries.
Together, we have the power to heal and transform ourselves and the world.
